What a lovely and relaxing liminal environment. Indoor water parks are very nostalgic to me since I grew up around Edmonton where the big West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark is. Thank you very much for making this. This is a great space to just chill in for a while.
The only complaint I have is that at one point, some of the inner tubes made their way up into the bottom of one of the water slides, and the physics of the tubes and the slide seemed to freak out and I got stuck in there. At the very least when that happened, though, I could just restart and not take very long to get back to where I wanted to go.
i used some photos of that park for references! specifically i think i looked a lot at its ceiling and ventilation systems haha. it looks so fun, i'd love to go there one day. i suspect that it has a similar vibe to the ones in the midwest i based this on, like the really out of place tropical theming in the dead of winter
sorry about that tube bug, i have encountered that before but i actually totally forgot about it. i think the one time it happened to me the tube eventually floated back out and i was able to follow it out but it's kind of a tricky thing to reproduce unfortunately. thanks for playing!
That's awesome! And you're very right about the contrast between indoor beach theming and outdoor blizzards, especially as far north as we are. That struck me as very authentic. The ceilings as well did feel very WEM, so well done on incorporating them! :D
Makes sense, and no worries, it does seem like a very fluke-y kind of bug. What happened to me was there were two or three tubes in there together, and I got stuck between two of the tubes, so the water and the tubes just kept pushing me back and forth and wouldn't go out further. I think it was because I spent so long exploring other parts of the park, it gave the tubes more time to wander in there, lol. Bug again, not a big deal. I was able to use the slides tons more without issues aside from that.
